Korea quirks worth knowing
- White, not grey: unlike Schengen photos (light grey is fine), Korean visa applications expect a plain white background. Our tool defaults to white for this preset.
- File size varies by channel: online forms commonly ask for JPEG under 200 kB — pair this page with our Image Compressor if the portal rejects your file.
- Same ratio as Schengen: 35 × 45 mm portrait, but the background rule differs — don't reuse one for the other.
Online form — watch the file size
Korean visa applications are often filed through online forms and e-Visa routes, where the upload box cares about bytes as much as pixels: JPEG under 200 kB is a common ceiling. Our 413 × 531 px export clears the dimension check, and the Image Compressor can shave the file down if a portal refuses it.
White background, 35 × 45
- The preset opens on the Korean visa 35 × 45 mm portrait crop with a white background.
- Shoot against a plain white wall — not grey, which is the Schengen habit and gets bounced here (the home photo guide covers the setup).
- Face detection places the crop, then save the 413 × 531 px JPEG and compress it if the portal caps the file size.
All editing runs locally in your browser, so the photo is never posted to a server.
