Singapore quirks worth knowing
- Automated checks: ICA runs biometric verification on submissions (online portal and in person), so head size and background matter more than usual — follow the framing band.
- Online first: passport applications are filed through ICA's online portal, so the digital file (400 × 514 px or larger, JPEG) is what gets checked.
- Babies: allowed, but the child must be alone in frame, eyes open where possible, nothing covering the face (see the baby photo guide).
