Why convert Markdown to HTML?
Markdown is quick to write but web pages need HTML. This converter turns a Markdown document into standard HTML tags — headings, paragraphs, lists, code blocks, blockquotes, tables, links and emphasis — with a live preview so you can check the result as you type. Raw text characters are escaped so your Markdown cannot inject arbitrary markup, and only the documented tags are emitted. It complements the markdown table generator (on the tools hub), which builds a single table: create the table there, then convert the whole document here. Is the HTML ready to paste into a page?
Yes. The output is plain HTML using standard tags (h1-h6, p, ul, ol, pre, code, table, blockquote, a, img, strong, em, hr), so it drops into a template or CMS.
Is my Markdown uploaded anywhere?
No. Conversion and preview happen in your browser with a small self-written parser. Nothing is uploaded.
Does it sanitise the HTML?
It escapes raw text characters so your Markdown cannot inject arbitrary markup, and it emits only the tags listed above. It is a converter, not a full security sanitiser for untrusted rich HTML.
Can I see the rendered result?
Yes. Alongside the HTML output there is a live preview so you can check headings, lists and tables as you type.
How does it relate to the markdown table generator?
That tool builds a single Markdown table; this one converts a whole Markdown document to HTML. For tables specifically, generate them with the markdown table generator first, then convert.
