vCard Generator
Fill in the fields to build a vCard (.vcf) contact card, then download it. Nothing is uploaded — the card is assembled locally.
vCard Generator
A vCard is the standard contact-card file format, saved with a .vcf extension, that phones and email clients import. This generator builds one from a simple form, with correct escaping and line folding, and lets you download it. Two versions are offered — 3.0 and 4.0 — because clients differ in what they accept.
What the generator handles
- Escaping of commas, semicolons, backslashes and newlines.
- Line folding at 75 octets, as RFC 6350 requires.
- UTF-8 text, so accented names and non-Latin scripts survive.
Frequently asked questions
What is a vCard?
A vCard is a standard contact card file with the .vcf extension, which phones, email clients and address books can import.
Which versions are supported?
You can generate version 3.0 or 4.0; the difference matters for how some fields and encodings are written.
Is my information uploaded?
No. The card is assembled in your browser and downloaded directly.
How is special text handled?
Commas, semicolons and backslashes are escaped, and long lines are folded at 75 octets, following RFC 6350.
What is the FN field?
FN is the formatted name shown for the contact. At least a name is required to build a card.
