Peru Passport Documents Checklist
A Peruvian electronic passport (pasaporte electrónico) is issued by Migraciones. The photo is taken on site, so there is nothing to prepare. This checklist covers the fee, the five steps and the collection rule. Verified against gob.pe (procedure 174), October 2026.
The 15-second answer
Pay S/ 120.90 (Págalo.pe online or Banco de la Nación, code 01810), book an appointment online, attend with your DNI and receipt, have your photo taken on site, and collect it — the same day. You must pick it up within 60 days.
What to bring
- DNI — in good condition and the latest version.
- Payment receipt.
- If replacing a lost or stolen passport: a sworn declaration (Declaración Jurada).
- Applicants with a disability: a parent or legal representative attends; the authorisation is valid for 30 days, or by consular or notarial authorisation.
The five steps
- Pay the fee — S/ 120.90, online at Págalo.pe (card) or at a Banco de la Nación branch, using code 01810 and quoting your DNI number. If you already paid the old 98.60 rate, add 22.30 under the same code.
- Book an appointment online at citaspasaporte.migraciones.gob.pe, choosing the head office; save or print the appointment slip.
- Attend with your DNI and receipt.
- Have your photo taken on site ("Pasa por la toma de foto"). Do not wear facial piercings ("No llevar piercings en el rostro").
- Collect the passport — issued the same day once all requirements are met.
Collect it in time
The passport must be collected within 60 days at the same head office. After that window it is destroyed — so do not miss the collection.
The photograph
Peru takes the photograph on site during the appointment; the official page publishes no size in mm or px, so none is stated here. The one photographic rule published is A-level and worth remembering: no facial piercings. If you need a photo for a different document, start from the photo size chart and test it with the free passport photo checker.
