Singapore LTVP Checklist
A Singapore Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) lets eligible foreigners stay long-term with a Singapore citizen or PR family member. ICA lists six eligible categories, with fees from S$45 and processing from 6 weeks to 6 months. This checklist covers who can apply, the PMLA, the fees and the renewal rule. Who can apply — the six eligible categories

PMLA — the Pre-Marriage LTVP Assessment
Before marriage, both the Singapore citizen and their intended spouse are encouraged to complete the free Pre-Marriage LTVP Assessment. It checks the intended spouse’s chances of getting an LTVP, since marriage does not guarantee approval. A couple who complete the PMLA before marriage get a shorter processing time of 6 weeks for their LTVP application, instead of the usual processing time of up to 6 months. If assessed to be eligible, the couple are issued a Letter of LTVP Eligibility (LLE) valid for 1 year, which can be used in the LTVP application after marriage.

How to pay
Payment has to be made online using Visa or MasterCard credit/debit card, American Express (AMEX), Internet Direct Debit (DBS/POSB, OCBC, UOB and Standard Chartered Bank internet banking accounts in Singapore), or PayNow. Successful applicants will be notified of other applicable fees subsequently.
Processing time
Most applications are processed within 6 weeks, provided all the required documents are submitted and in order. Some applications take longer. An LTVP application by a foreign spouse of a Singapore citizen takes up to 6 months to process; if the PMLA was completed before marriage, processing is shortened to 6 weeks. The outcome is sent by email and can also be checked online at MyICA or the e-Service.
Renewal
Submit the LTVP renewal application at least 3 months before the expiry of your current LTVP. The renewed LTVP’s validity runs from the date of issuance (upon payment of the issuance fee), and the remaining validity of the current LTVP is not carried forward.
