What the embassy asks for
Senegal’s visa requirements, as set out by its embassy in Washington DC, include:
- Two colour identity photos, of passport format, on a white background, taken within the last 6 months;
- a travel document valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry to Senegal;
- a copy of the passport photo page (two copies), the completed visa form (two copies), hotel booking or invitation letter, and flight ticket or booking.
The official wording is: Deux (02) photos d’identité en couleur de format passeport avec un fond blanc et datant de moins de six (6) mois.
The important caveat: no size in millimetres
Senegal’s official pages specify the number, colour, background and recency, but they do not publish a millimetre or pixel size. The requirement is simply “passport format”.
Because no figure is published, this page does not invent one. Do not assume the 35 × 45 mm used by many countries applies here — confirm the exact dimensions with the Senegalese consular service handling your application if it matters.
