Indonesia Passport Application Guide

Indonesian passport requirements are set out in Permenkumham RI No. 18 of 2022. This guide covers the documents for a new, renewal, child, damaged, lost or changed passport. Verified against the official immigration site, October 2026.

Legal basis

The requirement list cites Permenkumham RI No. 18 of 2022.

First application

• KTP — identity card.
• Kartu Keluarga — family card.
• One of four: birth certificate, marriage book, graduation certificate or baptism certificate.
• Meterai Rp 10,000 — one stamp duty.

Renewal

For a passport issued in Indonesia from 2009 onward and not damaged: KTP + the old passport + two meterai.

Children and other cases

• Child (PASPOR ANAK) — its own document section.
• Damaged passport — a separate case.
• Lost passport — a separate case.
• Data change — a separate case.
