Peru Passport Application Guide

A Peruvian electronic passport is issued by Migraciones for S/ 120.90, with the photo taken on site. This guide covers the five steps and the collection rule. Verified against gob.pe (procedure 174), October 2026.

The 15-second answer

Pay S/ 120.90 (Págalo.pe or Banco de la Nación, code 01810), book online, attend with your DNI and receipt, have your photo taken on site, and collect it — the same day, within a 60-day window.

Where you apply

Through Migraciones, following the official procedure (gob.pe/174). Book an appointment online at citaspasaporte.migraciones.gob.pe.

The five steps

  1. Pay the fee — S/ 120.90, online at Págalo.pe or at a Banco de la Nación branch, code 01810. If you paid the old 98.60 rate, add 22.30 under the same code.
  2. Book an appointment online.
  3. Attend with your DNI and receipt.
  4. Have your photo taken on site — do not wear facial piercings.
  5. Collect the passport.

The photo

Peru takes the photo on site and publishes no size in mm or px, so none is stated here. The applicant must not wear facial piercings. For a photo needed by a different document, use the free passport photo checker and the photo size chart.

Collection

Collection is the same day, and you must pick the passport up within 60 days, after which it is destroyed. Applicants with a disability may use a representative with a 30-day authorisation, or a consular/notarial authorisation.
