Bolivia Passport Photo — No Published Size
Bolivia’s identity and documentation service, SEGIP, runs the Cédula de Identidad and related trámites, and provides a 24/7 machine and a digital ID app. What its site does not publish is a photograph size for the passport — there is no millimetre, background or pixel figure on the pages checked, and the passport sub-page returns an error. So this page does not repeat an invented number. Verified against segip.gob.bo, October 2026. For the application itself, see the Bolivia passport guide.

What SEGIP publishes
SEGIP’s homepage sets out its main trámites. For the identity card it states:
“Cédula de Identidad — Conoce los requisitos para obtener tu Cédula de Identidad.”
Two service channels are described for the Cédula and licence:
- Cajero SEGIP — a 24/7 self-service machine that lets you replace the Cédula de Identidad or duplicate your driving licence in minutes
- SEGIP Digital — the official app that turns the Cédula de Identidad and driving licence into a digital format on your mobile device (iOS or Android)
SEGIP also lists a Cédula de Identidad de Extranjero for foreign residents and an “Otros trámites” entry for its most common procedures.
Why no photo size is stated here
The passport photograph requirements are not set out on the SEGIP pages checked, and the SEGIP passport sub-page returns a page-not-found error rather than a specification. With no official millimetre, background or pixel figure available, quoting one would be a guess. Instead:
- Treat any specific Bolivian passport photo size you see elsewhere as unverified unless it comes from an official Bolivian source
- Confirm the current photo format with SEGIP or the consular office handling your application
- If the photo is captured on site, there is nothing to size yourself
What this means for your photo
Do not crop a Bolivian passport photo to an unofficial millimetre or pixel figure. Because the official pages checked publish no size, the safest step is to check the requirement with the issuer — SEGIP inside Bolivia, or the consular office if you are applying abroad — and to use the Bolivia passport guide and the Bolivia documents checklist for the application itself. If you do need a photo for a document that does publish a size, the full size chart covers the countries that state one.

Frequently asked questions
What size is a Bolivia passport photo?
Not published. The SEGIP pages checked give no millimetre, background or pixel figure for a passport photograph, so no official size can be quoted.
Who issues Bolivian identity documents?
SEGIP, which runs the Cédula de Identidad and related trámites, including a 24/7 self-service machine (Cajero SEGIP) and a digital ID app (SEGIP Digital).
Does SEGIP give a photo background colour?
No. The pages checked do not publish a background colour, size or pixel figure for a passport photograph.
Can I use SEGIP Digital for the passport photo?
SEGIP Digital turns the Cédula de Identidad and driving licence into a digital format on iOS or Android; it does not publish a passport photo specification.
Where can I check the current requirement?
With SEGIP inside Bolivia or at the consular office handling your application, since the official pages checked do not state a photo size.
Why does this page not give a size?
Because the official Bolivian pages checked publish none, and the passport sub-page returns an error. Quoting a number would be guessing, so this page says so instead.
Source note: the SEGIP service descriptions (Cédula de Identidad, Cajero SEGIP, SEGIP Digital, Cédula de Identidad de Extranjero) are from segip.gob.bo (checked October 2026). No photograph size, background or pixel figure is published there, and the passport sub-page returns a not-found error.
